The rock outcroppings Sharn sits atop are not especially hospitable and limit the city to only vertical growth. While Sharn does have an amazing degree of cultural diversity it is not uncommon to see wards, or even whole districts, divided by race or nationality, especially in the poor lower snarn.
Morgrave Universitywith its glass walls and rough-and-tumble approach to scholarly pursuits, was founded in Sharn and to this day maintains its main campus in the City of Towers.
